Here are some maps, from various sources, that illustrate some aspects of early medieval Europe. I’ve given attribution wherever I could find it. If you see a map that shouldn’t be here just let me know. I’ll add more maps as I find them.

Good overview map
Here’s my personal go-to map. I actually had a four-by-four foot copy made that I keep on the wall. Very handy for tracking battles, movements, and all that geographic stuff.
Martel’s time
Going backward in time, here’s the state of the realm at the time of Charles Martel. Personally I think this map is a bit optimistic (and the map is captioned “more or less”) with regards his domains. I certainly wouldn’t consider all of Aquitaine as under the Frankish rule, nor necessarily Frisia and Bavaria. But it gives you an idea of what was happening.
Byzantine Empire
Here’s a map of the Byzantine empire around this time. Gives you a good idea of the span of the empire, and particularly it’s maritime characteristic. Also note that the Muslim expansion hasn’t reached Spain yet, so I would say this is around 650.
Changes Over Time
This is a good map of the Frankish realms, with changes identified by time. Only a few towns included, and no topographic information, however.
