Resources

I have tried to put together some things that will help you out in your own endeavors.

There’s a glossary of Latin terms, in case you’re reading something of a more academic nature and the author neglects to translate some terms (they do that a lot).

I’ve built a timeline of the eighth century, with an entry for every year. Not every year has something in it, unfortunately, but as I come across items I will continue to populate the timeline.

Someday I will have a most excellent map.

A bibliography of works I’ve used. Books, articles, web links (although they can be transitory – just let me know if you find a dead one).

A list of all the capitularies available in English, with dates, the Boretius number, and where you can find the translation.

Lastly, a list of saint’s lives that are available in English translation.
